There’s something interesting that happens when you question authority.
People get uncomfortable. Not necessarily because you’re wrong.
Sometimes they get uncomfortable because nobody else was willing to ask the question.
We’re taught from the time we’re young that there are rules.
Follow directions. Respect authority. Don’t cause trouble.
And most of that makes sense.
Until it doesn’t.
Because eventually you encounter a rule, a system, a boss, an institution, or maybe just a person in charge who tells you something that makes absolutely no sense. So you ask why.
And suddenly you’re difficult.
You’re disruptive.
You’re a problem.
That idea became an important part of Dani Danger.
Dani doesn’t arrive in the afterlife looking for a fight.
She isn’t anti authority. She isn’t trying to overthrow anything.
She simply notices that something doesn’t seem right.
New souls arrive frightened and confused and are immediately pushed through a system that determines where they’ll spend eternity.
Nobody asks them what they want. Nobody explains why.
Everyone just accepts that this is how things work.
Dani doesn’t.
And that makes her dangerous.
Not because she has power. Not because she has some grand plan.
Because she asks questions.
There’s a reason systems built around control don’t particularly enjoy questions.
Questions require answers.
Answers create more questions.
And eventually someone asks the question the system really doesn’t want to answer: What if there’s a better way?
That’s the thing I love most about Dani.
She isn’t fearless.
She doesn’t always know what she’s doing.
Sometimes she probably should shut up.
She just can’t bring herself to look at something that feels wrong and pretend she doesn’t see it.
And I think there’s a little Dani in a lot of us.
Think about this…maybe you’ve been the person in the meeting who finally said what everyone else was thinking.
Maybe you challenged a family dynamic nobody was supposed to talk about. Maybe you questioned a rule that existed for no better reason than it had always existed. Maybe someone told you to stay in your lane.
And maybe you didn’t.
We know that there can be consequences for questioning authority.
Dani is about to discover just how serious those consequences can become. Because in her new world, problematic souls aren’t disciplined.
They’re corrected.
And Dani is becoming a problem.

“If the system only works when nobody questions it, maybe the system is the problem.”
– Dani
